Supporting African Participation

→Supporting Transformation

The eLearning Africa Supporting Transformation (EAST) is a non-profit organisation that aims to make a lasting positive impact on the education, health and entrepreneurship sector in Africa. We do so by investing in Africa's grassroots ICT changemakers and leveraging the potential that Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) can offer. The trust is seeking the assistance of likeminded foundations, companies and individuals to ensure that as many low-income African grassroots changemakers are offered the opportunity to participate in this year's eLearning Africa Conference. Enriched through the vast knowledge sharing and networking experience the conference offers, their participation helps them to disseminate valuable knowledge to communities throughout Africa.

"It was a chance to network and learn from colleagues in my area of research interest and expertise as well as acquire best practices from similar initiatives from various countries in Africa and beyond the continent."

Melisa Achoko Allela

EAST scholarship recipient, 2015

“eLearning Africa 2015 was terrific and very relevant for my personal and organisational activities of research, teaching, training, corporate planning, monitoring, evaluation of reproductive health/HIV/AIDS and development programmes … I developed lots of experiences, establishing networks and partnerships.”

Philipos Petros Gile

Ethiopian Higher Education Institution’s Partnership sub-forum, Ethiopia

“eLearning Africa has enhanced my professional career and it will be the prerequisite of improving and promoting standards to my institution and education of a young nation.”
